Anybody have any insights or care to speculate? Problem is, I don’t want to switch to another service and can’t find any information about Spotify HiFi. What is going on with this feature/service offering? I just got a nice pair of Sennheisers that I hope to pair with some high quality audio. Moreover, Apple has already jumped on the bandwagon back in June and joined the likes of Deezer, Amazon, and Tidal who already offer lossless audio. Premium subscribers are now growing restless and wondering if the feature will be available before the end of the year.

Tidal, one of the first services to offer Hi-Res streaming, lowered its prices last year in a bid to appeal to more listeners. Deezer as well launched their Hi-Res service called Deezer HiFi, which gives listeners access to CD quality streaming, as well as access to Deezer’s unique 360 listening experience. Apple Music not only launched lossless audio but further improved on their audio quality offerings by putting forth Spacial Audio mixes using Dolby Atmos technology. Spotify announced in February that they were launching a Hi-Res tier called Spotify HiFi in late 2021. Throughout 2021, Hi-Res streaming became a key component of DSP offerings.
